Privacy

This policy explains how Grapplers handles information submitted through grapplers.net and the Grapplers iOS pilot. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to privacy@grapplers.net.
Information you give us
Gym host requests can include a gym name, contact name, email, phone number, city, region, coaching need, preferred dates, expected attendance, budget range, and hosting notes. Grappler applications can include a name, email, phone number, home base, discipline, belt or competitive level, specialties, travel radius, rate notes, biography, and evidence links.
Information stored on your device
The iOS pilot can save request drafts, route intent, app updates, and basic preferences locally on your device. You can delete this local information from the You tab. Removing the app also removes its local data.
How we use information
- review host requests and grappler applications;
- evaluate teaching evidence, availability, regional demand, and route fit;
- contact you about an application, request, proposed introduction, or safety issue;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the pilot; and
- comply with law and enforce our terms and community standards.
Public profiles and introductions
Submitting an application does not publish it. We do not make a grappler profile public unless it passes review and publication is separately approved. Private contact details are not included in public profiles. We do not share a host’s private contact information with a coach, or a coach’s private contact information with a host, until an introduction is appropriate.
Service providers
We use infrastructure providers to host the site, store pilot submissions, and operate the service. They process information for us under their service terms. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and deletion
We keep pilot submissions only as long as reasonably needed to evaluate the request, form routes, resolve safety issues, meet legal obligations, and maintain appropriate business records. You may ask us to delete or correct your information by emailing privacy@grapplers.net. We may retain limited information when legally required or necessary to prevent abuse.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect submitted information, including private database access rules and server-side intake. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children
The pilot is for adults acting for themselves or an organization. It is not directed to children under 13, and children may not submit applications or host requests.
Changes
We may update this policy as the pilot changes. The effective date above will identify the current version.
